Her career of 25 years has focused on human resources leadership and consulting across diverse business sectors in Maine. She has an intense passion and talent for activities that develop people and improve connections to others and the employer.

She lives in Cumberland, Maine with her husband, son, three cats and countless tropical fish. As a family they love to golf in the summer, enjoy lake time in Embden, and ski in the Winter.

Expressing gratitude, moving the body, and always looking for the good things are core to her being.

“Magical things happen when we get to do work that uses our strengths.”

Woman co founder
Rachel, Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer

Rachel founded Range Culture Co. with Angela to provide businesses and their employees a space to improve their communication, collaboration, and presentation skills using the techniques of improvisation and theatre.

Rachel’s experience with improv and comedy began when she was 15 and attended a summer comedy program at The Second City in Chicago. She continued her improv career at the University of Missouri, writing, performing, and leading workshops in the community. Rachel carried her love of performing to New York City and attended classes at the Upright Citizens Brigade theater, founded by Amy Poehler, Matt Besser, Ian Roberts, and Matt Walsh.

After moving to Maine in 2020 to be close to family, Rachel developed her professional career by supporting multiple executives in the Greater Portland area - this provided her insight on how important active listening, effective communication, and freedom of creative expression are to the success of a company’s executive team and culture.

Rachel lives in Westbrook with her boyfriend and dog Hank. Hank is not her boyfriend. That would be weird. You can find Rachel puttering around downtown Portland trying new restaurants, spending too much money at local bookstores, and griping about how much she misses her favorite Tex-Mex restaurant in her hometown of Dallas.
